Tina Ross writes the kind of songs that feel like conversations you didn’t know you needed—honest, poetic, and deeply human. She is a NY-based award-winning singer-songwriter whose contemporary Folk/Americana blends touches of jazz with poetic storytelling, emotional depth, and hope. Her songs explore connection, resilience, love, and the human experience through intricate guitar work and heartfelt vocals. After losing the use of her hands as a chiropractor and nearly losing her singing voice, Tina launched her music career later in life and quickly earned recognition. She was a Falcon Ridge Emerging Artist in 2024 and Most Wanted in 2025, won the FocusMusic Heyman Rising Artist Award in 2023, and was featured on Christine Lavin’s The Seasons Project in 2023. Her 2023 debut album, While I’m Here, received Grammy first-round consideration. Her second album, Broken is Beautiful, will soon be released. Early reviews describe her songs as “brilliant jewels.” She also host the Zoomcast Inside the Song, a hybrid concert and interview series featuring seasoned songwriters and the craft behind their work. She is deeply committed to songcraft and to creating spaces where meaningful music and stories thrive. Whether on stage or in conversation, she aims to connect authentically through music and shared experience.
Tina's highly anticipated new album, "Broken is Beautiful", is slated for release in late 2026/early 2027. Produced by Lorne Entress (Lori McKenna, Mark Erelli), the album features an exceptional group of musicians, including Duke Levine (Bonnie Raitt), Kevin Barry (Mary Chapin Carpenter), Reed Sutherland, Halley Neal, Sam Robbins, David Limina, Chair of the Piano Department at Berklee College of Music and Mark Dann (Fast Folk). Tina has been recognized by the UK Songwriting Contest, The International Acoustic Music Awards and The International Blues and Roots Radio Contest as a finalist, the UK Songwriting Contest as a semi-finalist, and the John Lennon and SolarFest Songwriting Contests as an Honorable Mention.
Tina has performed in notable folk conferences, venues and festivals, including the Main Stage at Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, Club Passim, The Bitter End, The Towne Crier, Godfrey Daniels, Focus Music, Stangl Stage, The Troubadour at The Folk Project, Hurdy Gurdy Folk Club, Rockwood Music Hall with John Platt's “On Your Radar”. She has opened for Tom Chapin, John Gorka and Christine Lavin.
